Instead of redirecting visitors to an external URL when they visit your domain without a story identifier, you can choose one of your published stories to serve as your homepage. This way, visitors to your main domain will see your selected story directly.
Setting Up a Story as Homepage
To use a story as your homepage: Visit the Settings page and look for the domain settings.
You can either:
- Choose an existing story: Click "Choose an existing story" to select from your stories.
- Create a new story: Alternatively, you can click "Create a new story" to build a dedicated homepage story from scratch.
Once you've selected or created a story as your homepage, visitors to your domain (e.g., https://<account-name>.pageflow.io/ or your custom domain) will see this story instead of being redirected to an external URL.
Managing Your Homepage Story
When a story is set as your homepage, you'll see a notification in the Settings page showing which story is currently used. If you want to switch back to using a redirect URL instead, you can change the story's permalink to remove it from the homepage position
Note: When a story is set as your homepage, the redirect URL field will be disabled since your story is taking precedence.
